Feel good trailblazers Good Neighbours share more new music in the form of another anthemic belter ‘Daisies’, out now on Some Action/Neon Gold/Avenue A.

The new single was premiered by Jack Saunders this evening as his Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1. The band recently road-tested the track in front of an army of eager fans at their packed out, sold-out show at London’s Village Underground last month - watch the live performance of ‘Daisies’ here.

Good Neighbours have been catapulted into the limelight this year since the success of their viral hit ‘Home’ took hold. Its ascent continues to have a huge impact across the globe with it currently sitting at 270 Million streams (30M UK; the best selling debut single so far this year). Seemingly, sky-rocketing, epic tracks are becoming Good Neighbours’ forte with the sing-along-sensation ‘Keep It Up’ following ‘Home’, another song that busted out positive vibes and a big old chorus.

As third single ‘Daisies’ is set to establish - Good Neighbours’ songs, like Scott and Oli themselves, retain a real sense of innocence and humble naivety, but still achieve something dynamic and sophisticated. They describe the process as kind of their own coming-of-age.“That’s what the sound is, to us: a coming of age, you know, that main character feeling”.

It’s something that we can all relate to, the feeling of a shared, universal experience paired with the down to earth, un-synthesised nature of the production means that, unlike what you would expect from most viral hits, they’ve managed to capture a moment in real terms - hence selling out Village Underground in London after only a few tiny pub shows under their belt. ‘Daisies’ equally keeps the euphoria flowing- a call-to-arms for people to cast off their insecurities.

Discussing the song, Scott and Oli say, “‘Daisies’ is a low self-esteem anthem. Sometimes when you hate the way you feel in your own skin, it’s easier to try to see yourself how other people do, and we thought that was a sick idea. Someone making us fall back in love with ourselves.” Good Neighbours started simply with one SoundCloud demo and heaps of optimism.

This optimism in turn brings huge levels of positivity into their songs and tangible feelgood energy into any room they play.
