‘Citizens Band’ sounds as if Unbelievable Truth have picked up from where they left off two and a half decades ago while adding all their extra experience and insight. The title track is a hypnotic, piano-led plea for community and solidarity among friends, while recent single “Madison” speaks of hurt and regret, but with its warm melody the song soothes as much as it aches. “Non Combatant” opens with a startling, hymn-like vocal before building into a characteristically understated yet epic track, with swelling strings and thought-provoking lyrics.
