PIONEERS

South coast based four-piece indie-rockers Pioneers are gearing up for a huge 2023. The band were initially formed in 2017 and since inception have gone on to take the music industry by storm after their single “Take Time” was picked up and played on BBC Radio One by Dev, Scott Mills, Greg James and Clara Amfo and the band were further interviewed on air by Alice Levine.

Throughout the past year, the band has amassed plenty of new material, sounding louder and slicker than ever before. The band are fresh off a 300 capacity hometown sell out show at The Loft in Southampton. Pioneers are set to announce some more upcoming shows across the UK with exclusives of upcoming releases a certainty. The band is the lead singer and guitarist Sam Watts, lead guitarist Toby Gathercole, bassist Sam Over and drummer Dan Johnston.

With previous radio play on BBC Introducing, where the band have been given the accolade of “Record of The Week”, BBC Radio One, playing at Isle of Wight Festival and a string of tour dates with new music champions “This Feeling”, we are without doubt that this emerging band is going to continue the upward trajectory. There really is no telling as to where these boys will end up next, but you know it’s going to be big!

Pioneers are said to have entered a new chapter in their career; this isn't the same band you remember; they're coming back to the surface, and they're coming in LOUD!
