Honeymooner & So Young Magazine present shame at The Joiners, Southampton on 10th May! Part of Shame's debut UK headline tour...

"A filthy mess of The Doors, Sleaford Mods and The Pixies” is how the Guardian choose to describe South Londoners Shame and it's hard to argue with that. Just listen to their debut single The Lick and you'll understand why. The track was followed up by Gold Hole, which now also has a Mica Levi-directed video, her directorial debut.

Their reputation as one of the best new live bands in London is already cemented after they sold-out three shows across London in a single day back in December, and following tours with The Garden and Fat White Family and shows with The Fall, King Gizzard and more.

"The excitement and the energy of the band lies in the collective, the movement, they are orchestrating, a reactionary force that will get the kids out from behind their screens and get them behind the band. In reality, Shame make us realise that keeping things as they are is actually the most dangerous thing you can do… in the small, incestuous world of music anyway." So Young Magazine

"South London’s Shame concoct a filthy mess of The Doors, Sleaford Mods and Pixies while intense singer Charlie Steen strips to the waist and beats himself with half a mic stand” – The Guardian

"Shame, five boys in a tornado…play rock, but with the patter of Streets, the spittle of Mark E. Smith, and the class of Johnny Marr but above all the frenzy, rage, exasperation of their age” – Les inrocks
